We’re proud to announce this week that we’ve achieved B Corp Certification in a process that took 10 months to complete as we continue to work to create lasting positive impacts.

Awarded by the globally recognised nonprofit network, B Lab, to companies that meet high standards across a range of social, environmental, and business factors, B Corporations are celebrated for being a force for good to benefit people, communities and the planet. Now, we’re joining an exclusive list of just 67 advertising and market research agencies operating across the UK to achieve this certification.

Our CEO and Co-Founder, Lyanna Tsakiris, said: “We’re beyond thrilled to announce that we’re now officially a Certified B Corporation. We are always looking to do better, and by signing up for the BCorp process, we wanted to reinforce our commitment to improving the social and environmental impact of how we do business across the board, but the work doesn’t stop here. This will be an ongoing journey and as a business, we’ll need to review and evidence our continued positive impact on our team, community, environment, and customers every three years.”

The rigorous accreditation process involves applicants reviewing their processes, suppliers and beyond, to understand the true impact of their business practices. They are measured through an in-depth B Impact Assessment where only those who achieve a score of 80 or higher are eligible for the accreditation.

We’re proud to say that we earnt an overall impact score of 92.8 which enabled us to join the likes of Patagonia, the Guardian Media Group, and many more. Performing best in the ‘Workers’ category which focuses on the financial security, health, wellness, and safety of the team as well as career development, engagement and satisfaction, we were also recognised for our focus on ethics and business transparency.

With the average business scoring a median 50.9 on the B Impact Assessment, we hope that this will help to encourage other businesses to consider the B Corp process.

Tsakiris continued: “Our goals are focused on collective action and making positive impacts beyond maximising profits, so for us, it was a no-brainer. When we founded Station Rd. in 2014, our goal was to create an agency with a team-first culture, prioritising their health and wellbeing, and we’re still committed to this today, ensuring everyone is supported beyond the traditional expectations of a professional environment.

“For us, the B Corp accreditation is an extension of that commitment and this achievement has been months in the making with a fair bit of paperwork to get through. But as a whole, it’s been very rewarding. We’ve already learnt a lot through this process and have encouraged our team to get involved every step of the way and they too have felt the benefit. From everything we’ve experienced so far, we’d highly recommend that any business hoping to understand their influence consider starting the B Corp process. Because we can all do and be better.”
