BARBRI Bridges is an initiative by leading global legal education provider, BARBRI, aimed at supporting aspiring lawyers by enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) within the legal profession. The initiative seeks to remove financial and social barriers, ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds have equal opportunities to pursue a career in law.

Following the introduction of the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE), BARBRI recognised the need to refine and strengthen the BARBRI Bridges initiative to better align with its DE&I goals and long-term strategic objectives. The challenge was to evolve the initiative’s proposition and communications by creating a robust, strategic model with clearly defined pillars, ensuring BARBRI Bridges remained impactful, relevant, and strategically positioned within BARBRI’s broader commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal sector.

We facilitated a strategic workshop to review the impact of BARBRI Bridges and refine its goals, vision, and overall proposition to align with the initiative’s DE&I objectives. This process involved creating a model with clearly defined pillars, conducting stakeholder mapping and prioritisation to identify strategic collaboration opportunities, and performing competitor and industry analysis to position BARBRI as a leader in DE&I within the legal education sector. Additionally, we developed a comprehensive campaign and communications plan to support the initiative’s strategic goals, focusing on brand awareness and targeted messaging to key audiences.
